Café Manager

A Café Manager runs the day-to-day operations of the Café. Their duties include managing the staff and operations, providing excellent customer service, ensuring staff are safe and that all food safety procedures are followed according to regulations. Having a keen attention to detail and being able to prioritise tasks are some of the key qualities required. Find out more at

Food & Beverage Supervisor

Kitchen Supervisors are staff leaders at the café. Kitchen Supervisors are responsible for the day-to-day running of a kitchen and ensure that their staff carry out their duties in line with café policies. The Kitchen Supervisor’s main concern is ensuring that a kitchen runs smoothly and profitably. A Kitchen Supervisor also trains and manages an establishment’s kitchen staff. Find out more at

Food & Beverage Assistant

A Food and Beverage Assistant is responsible for preparing food & beverages as part of the Front of House team. Their duties include assisting with food & drink preparation at the Cake, Ice Cream and Coffee counters, keeping these fully stocked, clean and tidy throughout opening times and assisting customers with their orders and processing transactions. Find out more at

Café Assistant


A Café Assistant’s main responsibility is to ensure that customers have an enjoyable experience. A Café Assistant should have excellent customer service skills, they should greet customers in a polite and friendly manner, provide them with menus and make helpful suggestions regarding menu choices and the café system. They are also the point of contact for the processing of payments. Café Assistants are responsible for front-of-the-house duties such as cleaning the tables after customers, delivering food and drinks and keeping the premises safe and clean for customers to enjoy. Find out more at



Kitchen Manager

The Kitchen Manager is responsible for managing our busy Café Kitchen specialising in high-end takeaway food and excellent local and Welsh produce. Ensuring that kitchen staff adhere to quality, hygiene and cleanliness standards, staying up-to-date with culinary trends and kitchen processes. You will also be dealing with suppliers and ensuring that they supply quality goods. Managing the inventory and ordering stock as needed

and overseeing the maintenance of kitchen equipment and organising repairs when needed. A Kitchen Manager should also be used to handling staff issues and taking disciplinary action when necessary, developing new dishes and contributing to Café specials menu​. Find out more at

Kitchen Supervisor

A Food & Beverage Supervisor oversees the operations and staff of FOH. Their duties include maintaining FOH budget, assigning tasks to other FOH staff and ensuring customer satisfaction by expediently dealing with any issues that may arise under the production of the café menu. Find out more at

Kitchen Assistant

A Kitchen Assistant is responsible for the dishes that are cooked and prepared at the café. This can involve creating new recipes, or adhering to specific food preparation and standards set by the café and local laws. A Kitchen Assistant also supervises and assigns work in the kitchen and trains staff. A Kitchen Assistant takes charge of the menu, changing and rotating dishes if necessary. Find out more at

Kitchen Porter

The Kitchen Porter is responsible for assisting other kitchen staff like Kitchen Assistants, Kitchen Supervisors or Kitchen Managers. Their primary duties include cleaning the kitchen, equipment and organising food and other items in the stockroom. Find out more at
